WHAT: Join Kaeshi and Kierra for a PURE Creative Embodiment class focused on opening up compassion through 5Rhythms dance meditation, Thich Nhat Hanh's poem "Call me by my true names" and heart centered conversations. You will have a chance to collaborate in community to create movement sentences and express your authentic self through dance and words in a safe space.

WHO: KAESHI CHAI is a theatrical multi-cultural dancer and teacher trainer who co-founded the professional dance company and school, Bellyqueen, and also PURE (Public Urban Ritual Experiment), a global community of artists focused on healing and social change through dance and music. Kaeshi has performed and taught internationally, and is an alumni member of the Bellydance Superstars, and Jillina’s Bellydance Evolution. One of her all time joys is dancing to live music. In addition to her years on stages from Las Vegas and beyond, in 2007 she set up the weekly, ongoing Djam NYC event for dancers and musicians to create and play together in a safe space. She teaches regularly at the Bellyqueen School of Dance. KIERRA FOSTER-BA, a body wisdom coach has been trained to facilitate the 5Rhythms and Femme! She has studied the 5Rhythms® with Gabrielle Roth for 15+ years. She appears in Gabrielle’s Power Wave video and the documentaries Dances of Ecstasy and "Leave Your Shoes at the Door". Kierra holds weekly 5Rhythms® classes in New York City (Shaking Spirit Waves) and has taught the 5Rhythms on four continents and more than 9 states. She also dances with PURE (Public Urban Ritual Experiment an international community focused on healing and social change through dance and music.) Kierra is a graduate of Yale University graduate school and is a 20 year + veteran New York City educator and an adjunct professor of education at the City College of New York.
